Dr. Alberto Spataro receives an award for his research on Pope Gregory IX.

The curators of the "Stauferstiftung Göppingen" decided to honour Dr. Alberto Spataro with the "Stauferpreis 2020", which is an award for outstanding research on the history of the Hohenstaufen dynasty and its period. The IKGF visiting fellow Alberto Spataro is awarded for his study "Velud fulgor meridianus. La 'Vita' di papa Gregorio IX. Edizione, traduzione e commento", which was published in Milan 2018.
Dr. Spataro will receive the award during the ceremony of the “Staufertage” in the town of Göppingen at 14 November 2020.
